Job Overview
Afrirent Holdings is seeking a General Worker to deliver efficient housekeeping and cleaning services across designated areas. The role also requires strict adherence to the company’s occupational health and safety standards to ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping and Kitchen Support:
- Perform housekeeping duties in a hygienic and efficient manner
- Prepare refreshments for senior executives and visitors
- Assist with catering preparation and serving when required
- Set up meeting rooms for scheduled meetings
- Replenish kitchen supplies to ensure availability for staff
- Monitor consumable levels and report replenishment needs promptly
- Maintain adequate stock of cleaning materials, groceries, and consumables
Cleaning Duties:
- Clean allocated areas, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping
- Ensure common areas are free of obstacles to maintain safety standards
- Conduct routine inspections and carry out basic maintenance tasks
- Perform deep-cleaning of designated areas as required
Occupational Health and Safety Compliance:
- Maintain clear and safe common areas in line with safety procedures
- Comply with Afrirent’s hygiene standards and code of conduct
- Adhere to all OHS policies and report any hazards or safety concerns
- Identify and report maintenance issues or required repairs
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 10 qualification
- 0–6 months of cleaning or housekeeping experience
