Requirements:
An ABET Certificate is required. Additional qualifications will be an added advantage. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience in a similar environment. Applicants should have knowledge of general work practices such as lawn care, vegetation clearance, and grounds maintenance. Basic understanding of maintenance procedures to ensure the safe and efficient upkeep of government water infrastructure and facilities is essential. Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) procedures, as well as government legislation and policy implementation, is required. Candidates may be expected to perform practical assessments during interviews.

Duties:

• Assist artisans and technicians with maintenance and operational tasks.
• Load and offload equipment and materials as directed by the supervisor.
• Perform general maintenance activities such as fencing, weed control, gardening, painting, firebreak maintenance, and herbicide application.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities and infrastructure.
• Carry out maintenance on government water infrastructure and related facilities.
• Report any defects, faults, or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
• Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and all safety regulations.
• Perform other general duties as assigned by the supervisor.
