POST 29/159: General Worker – Stores (Linen Stores Assistant) (X2 Posts)

Directorate: Facilities Management – Sub-directorate: Laundry Services
Location: Head Office, Cape Town
Salary: R138 486 per annum

Minimum Requirements:

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Relevant experience in stores and/or laundry/linen handling.
• Medically fit to lift and carry heavy bags.

Skills and Competencies:

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work accurately and follow instructions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load and offload stock/linen from trucks, vans, and shelves.
• Transport goods and linen to and from designated areas.
• Receive and dispatch linen/stock to health facilities.
• Pack, stack and rack linen and stock in stores.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure general hygiene.
