Requirements:

• A minimum of an ABET Certificate.
• Additional qualifications will be an added advantage.
• Preference will be given to candidates with relevant work experience in a similar environment.
• Basic knowledge of handling gardening tools and equipment.
• Understanding of general maintenance duties such as lawn care and upkeep activities.
• Familiarity with maintenance practices for the proper and safe care of government water infrastructure and related facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance duties including gardening, painting, weed control, firebreak maintenance, and herbicide application.
• Conduct regular inspections of departmental infrastructure.
• Maintain government water facilities such as dams, canals, pipelines, servitudes, terrain, and buildings.
• Report faults, defects, or safety risks to supervisors promptly.
• Load and unload materials and equipment as required.
• Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and all related regulations.
• Assist with other general duties as assigned.
