🌟 Position Purpose
Join Transnet Pipelines and become a key player in our Drawing Office team! We’re seeking a meticulous and tech-savvy Operator to support the creation of detailed CAD drawings and manage document control processes. You’ll be involved in interpreting engineering sketches, conducting site measurements, managing electronic document systems, and using specialised design tools and equipment to deliver top-quality work to internal and external clients.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
- Create CAD drawings using sketches, specifications, or self-obtained site measurements
- Manage and maintain electronic documents via SAP and our document management systems
- Ensure accuracy of uploaded technical data and correct discrepancies
- Mark-up completed pipeline crossings and maintain drawing records
- Operate and maintain drawing office equipment such as scanners, plan printers, plotters, and specialised software
- Administer SAP purchase requisitions related to drawing office functions
- Provide technical drawing support to Transnet Pipelines and external partners
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 (Matric) with strong computer literacy
- Proven aptitude and experience in a technical/drawing environment
- Proficient in AutoCAD or similar CAD systems
- Solid understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
