You’ll play a key role in delivering both preventative and reactive maintenance services at a client site, ensuring everything from plumbing to carpentry is handled efficiently and professionally.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance including:
- Plumbing repairs
- Painting
- Welding
- Carpentry
- Minor electrical work
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Attend to breakdowns and reactive maintenance tasks
- Maintain furniture, fittings, fixtures, and equipment
- Carry out inspections in line with OHS Act requirements
- Keep workspaces clean, organised, and safe
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
- Escort and supervise subcontractors to ensure compliance and quality standards
- Provide excellent customer service and promptly resolve queries
🧠 Skills & Competencies
- Strong multi-skilled maintenance experience
- Solid knowledge of plumbing, painting, carpentry, and basic electrical work
- Good time management and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Safety-conscious and procedure-driven
- Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure
- Customer-focused attitude
🎓 Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Basic Plumbing and General Building training
- 4–7 years’ experience in a similar maintenance environment
- Competent in using hand and power tools
- Familiarity with building layouts and infrastructure systems
