At Bidvest Facilities Management, we’re on the lookout for a skilled and hands-on Handyman to ensure that buildings run like clockwork. 🎯 Your Mission:
To provide top-tier preventive, planned, and emergency maintenance services across client sites—efficiently, safely, and on time.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Complete maintenance tasks from work orders/job cards per client and company standards.
- Troubleshoot and restore faulty equipment.
- Perform minor electrical repairs and servicing of appliances per SLA.
- Handle general tasks: install office furniture, repair fittings, replace ceiling/carpet tiles, do paintwork.
- Conduct minor plumbing work and basic air-conditioning repairs (Tier 1 level).
- Inspect and report on fire safety and access control systems.
- Support Artisans with larger repairs and services.
- Report progress and restoration updates to the Facilities/Service/Building Manager.
📚 What You’ll Need:
- Matric (Senior Certificate)
- N3 Technical qualification (Electrical or Mechanical)
- Valid SA Driver’s License
- 3+ years’ hands-on maintenance experience
- Familiarity with hand tools, mechanical and electrical systems
- Basic knowledge of OHS Act and ISO 9001 QMS
