Job Purpose:
The Warehouse Helper will support store operations by handling redundant assets, assisting with asset delivery, maintaining a clean and safe storage environment, and executing administrative tasks related to asset movement and disposal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee redundant assets and control their movement.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the warehouse.
- Deliver furniture to various departments.
- Execute internal movements within agreed timeframes.
- Attend to PeopleSoft requests and transfer documentation.
- Assist with the asset sale process, including labelling and marking.
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and inspection compliance.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 10 qualification.
- At least 6 months’ experience in:
- Store operations
- Asset management
- General administration
Competencies:
- Knowledge of stores and assets environment
- Good written and verbal communication
- Time management, planning, and prioritization
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional integrity
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Basic computer/email and telephone etiquette
Added Advantages:
- Grade 12
- Asset management experience within a university setting
- Code 10 Driver’s License with PDP
