Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Basic literacy and numeracy
- Experience: Appropriate cleaning experience in a health facility
- Inherent Job Requirements:
- Must be able to work in an environment where infectious diseases are treated
- Willingness to work shifts, including night duty, weekends, overtime, and public holidays
- Must be willing to provide relief in other departments within the hospital
Competencies:
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and cleaning equipment (electronic and manual)
- Understanding of hygiene, occupational health and safety regulations
- Ability to work under pressure
Key Duties:
- Perform general cleaning using safe and effective methods, aligned with hygiene and infection control standards
- Support the Household Supervisor/Manager in achieving domestic service outcomes
- Ensure proper use and care of cleaning equipment
- Correctly handle and dispose of refuse and waste in line with safety regulations
- Assist with stock control and safekeeping of cleaning materials and non-surgical equipment
- Assist in serving meals and beverages
