🧾 Job Purpose
To provide effective cleaning and housekeeping services that ensure a hygienic, safe, and infection-controlled hospital environment.
🎓 Minimum Requirements
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
🧰 Experience
- Appropriate experience as a household aid or cleaner in a hospital environment
⚠️ Inherent Job Requirements
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery and equipment
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies
- Willingness to work shifts, including:
- Weekends
- Public holidays
- Day and night duties
- Ability to rotate between departments based on operational needs

- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong sense of accountability and responsibility
- Ability to handle conflict and work under pressure
- Good attention to hygiene and safety standards
🧹 Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including:
- Dusting
- Sweeping
- Polishing
- Scrubbing
- Mopping
- Cleaning windows and walls
- Ensure cleaning equipment such as polishers, scrubbing machines, mops, brooms, and buckets are cleaned and stored properly after use
- Use cleaning agents and supplies effectively and assist with basic stock control
- Provide clean linen for hospital use and manage clean and soiled linen
- Maintain a safe, hygienic environment to prevent injuries and the spread of infection
- Attend training sessions when required
