📝 Job Purpose
BMW Vereeniging is seeking a Driver: Light Duty to support dealership operations through professional driving services and related duties. Reporting directly to the Dealer Principal, the successful candidate will ensure the safe movement, inspection, and handling of vehicles while delivering excellent customer and operational support.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicles for defects, damage, and roadworthiness
- Ensure all vehicles are securely locked and keys stored safely
- Start vehicles regularly to prevent battery damage
- Move vehicles between dealerships, suppliers, and customers
- Check new vehicles for missing tools, spare wheels, or defects and report accordingly
- Report all accidents, incidents, and traffic offences immediately
- Assist with translation when required
- Conduct driver training during new vehicle handovers
- Complete all required driver training documentation
- Work overtime and night shifts (20h00 – 05h00) when required
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the department
🎓 Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Valid Code 14 (EC) Driver’s Licence
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
