🔧 What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Machine Operation
- Set up and monitor machines for optimal performance and product quality.
- Detect and address mechanical issues early to avoid production downtime.
- Report any deviations from food safety or quality standards.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform first-line maintenance and basic fault-finding.
- Assist artisans with machine breakdowns.
- Clean and inspect machinery components as required.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Adhere to ISO 14000, 18000, and 22000 standards.
- Start up/shut down machinery safely following SOPs.
- Conduct regular machine safety inspections.
Teamwork & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain a clean and food-safe workstation.
- Support team goals and share in responsibilities.
- Take ownership of your development and support others in their learning.
- Communicate proactively and help drive performance.
✅ What You’ll Need:
- Matric/Grade 12
- First-line maintenance training (advantageous)
- 2+ years’ experience in FMCG or mechanical environments
- Familiarity with hand tools and bakery machinery is a plus
- Willingness to work shifts and some weekends
