POST 1: MESSENGER / DRIVER

  • Reference Numbers:

  • Salary: R193,359 – R227,766 per annum (Level 04)
  • Centres: Mafikeng Campus & Lehurutshe Campus

Requirements:

  • Grade 11 Certificate (NQF Level 3) or equivalent.
  • Valid Code B/EB Driver’s License with a valid Public Driving Permit (PDP).
  • Minimum 3 years’ driving or messenger experience (advantageous).
  • Physically fit and able to lift/load goods.
  • Able to work under pressure, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Basic literacy: able to read and write.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Messenger Duties:
    • Collect/deliver mail, documents, and parcels between departments and provincial offices.
    • Track, label, and scale parcels.
  • Transport Duties:
    • Drive staff to destinations as required.
    • Maintain vehicle logbook.
    • Load and dispatch items.
  • Vehicle Maintenance:
    • Perform pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks.
    • Report mechanical issues and ensure timely servicing.
  • Office Support:
    • Assist with document duplication and facsimile services.
    • Keep accurate log sheets and fuel receipts.
    • Support general operations in the Executive Support Unit.

POST 2: HANDYMAN

  • Reference Numbers:
    • Lehurutshe Campus: HM/02/05/2025
    • Lichtenburg Campus: TA/03/05/2025
  • Salary: R163,680 – R192,810 per annum (Level 03)
  • Centres: Lehurutshe Campus & Lichtenburg Campus

Requirements:

  • Grade 10 or ABET Level 3 qualification.
  • Recognized trade certificate (advantageous).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in building maintenance.
  • Welding experience will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform minor maintenance tasks, including:
    • Unblocking drains and toilets
    • Replacing taps
    • Painting and furniture repairs
  • Inspect buildings and report major faults.
  • Maintain gutters, stormwater channels, and kitchen drains.
  • Ensure proper storage and cleanliness of tools.
  • Perform any ad hoc maintenance duties as requested.
