Overview
Guud Mobiles is looking for a dependable, experienced, and tech-savvy Driver (Operator) to support the operation and logistics of our mobile clinic units. The successful candidate must live in or near Johannesburg, hold a valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence with a PrDP, and have proven experience operating heavy vehicles. Confidence using digital tools to support healthcare delivery in underserved communities is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Vehicle Operations
- Safely drive mobile clinic vehicles in accordance with South African road regulations.
- Perform daily vehicle checks and ensure roadworthiness.
- Keep the vehicle clean and handle basic maintenance.
- Immediately report any mechanical faults or incidents.
Clinic Setup & On-Site Support
- Arrive at daily locations on time and assist with full clinic setup.
- Position the vehicle properly and deploy awnings, signage, and essential equipment.
- Ensure all systems (power, water, sanitation) are functioning.
- Work closely with healthcare personnel to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Manage on-site logistics, including patient flow and queue management.
Technology & Software
- Use Guud Mobiles’ digital tools to support project planning and scheduling.
- Register and enrol patients on-site.
- Monitor and manage the external patient queue.
- Address basic technical issues and escalate when necessary.
Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records for mileage, fuel consumption, and driving logs.
- Ensure all operational activities comply with health and safety standards.
- Assist with daily operational reporting and incident documentation.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Code 10 or Code 14 Driver’s Licence + PrDP.
- At least 3 years of heavy-vehicle driving experience.
- Based in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
- Confident using smartphones, tablets, and digital apps.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and within a team.
- Willing to travel and work in rural or remote areas.
Salary: R12 500 per month
