Minimum Qualification:

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent

Job Purpose:
To carry out final preparation of aircraft and aircraft components for paint stripping or painting. The role involves the use of hand tools and pneumatic equipment, including orbital sanders, to ensure surfaces are properly prepared in accordance with required standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare aircraft and components through sanding and masking
• Receive, track, and monitor work-in-progress items
• Complete, sign, and maintain all required documentation accurately
• Support general hangar and workshop housekeeping, including:
  • Cleaning of work areas and equipment
  • Movement of equipment, materials, and spares
• Assist technicians with general preparation tasks

Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Computer literacy

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of the SAA Technical Organisation environment
• Knowledge of hazardous materials and chemicals
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
