🔧 Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Panel Saw Operator to join our production team in Vereeniging. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting customer orders according to specifications, timelines, and quality standards while minimizing material waste and preventing machinery breakdown due to negligence.
This role requires precision, efficiency, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Cut customer orders accurately according to specifications and deadlines
- Operate panel saws, cutting, and edging machinery safely and efficiently
- Ensure minimal material loss and wastage
- Perform basic machine care and report faults promptly
- Maintain high-quality standards on all finished products
- Follow all safety and operational procedures
- Work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required
🎓 Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF Level 4)
- 2 years’ carpentry experience (advantageous)
- 1 year experience working with cutting and edging machinery (advantageous)
- Ability to perform basic calculations accurately
- Ability to work under pressure
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
