Vital Element (Pty) Ltd, a trusted leader in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a Senior Payroll & Benefits Administrator to take full ownership of salaries and wages for more than 450 employees. This is a career-defining opportunity for an experienced payroll specialist who understands both the technical and human side of payroll administration.

What Youβll Do
Salaries (215 Employees):
Capture new hires, overtime, allowances, and loan deductions on VIP Sage.
Process medical aid updates, leave payouts, and termination payments.
Generate and distribute payslips (via InfoSlips).
Handle UIF contributions, salary journals, EMP201 submissions, and reconciliations.
Wages (250 Employees):
Import and verify weekly Jarison clocking details.
Capture overtime, leave, garnishees, loans, and provident fund contributions.
Prepare weekly wage payments and PAYE submissions.
Print payslips and reconcile wage control accounts weekly.
Group-Level Payroll Duties:
Complete tax year-end (IRP5, EMP501) and interim reporting through SARS e-filing.
Manage WCA returns, salary/wage increases, pension fund updates, and bonus schedules.
Oversee onboarding of learners and update payroll system records.
Support audits, payroll-to-GL reconciliations, and EE reporting.

What You Bring
β Diploma in Payroll/HR or related qualification
β 5 β 10 yearsβ payroll experience in a manufacturing environment
β Advanced MS Office skills & strong numerical aptitude
β VIP Sage Payroll expertise (non-negotiable)
β Knowledge of Jarison clocking system
β Familiarity with SARS, POPIA, BCEA, and payroll compliance regulations
β Strong reconciliation, reporting, and problem-solving skills
β Experience with benefits administration (medical aid, pension, IOD claims)
