About the Role
AECI Water is looking for two dedicated Plant Operators to join our Cape Town-based Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plant. If you’re detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and passionate about operational excellence, this is your chance to be part of a team that makes a real impact in sustainable water treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor RO plant systems using SCADA.
- Perform safety checks, routine inspections, and start-up procedures.
- Conduct water quality analysis and report deviations.
- Record and analyze operational data and ensure accurate reporting.
- Manage dosing stations, chemical supply, and equipment maintenance.
- Complete and maintain accurate handover logs.
- Adhere to OHASA and AECI Water SHEQ standards and practices.
- Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ensure proper shutdown, start-up, and CIP (Clean-In-Place) operations.
- Maintain chemical stock levels and consumption tracking.
- Keep work areas safe, organized, and compliant with housekeeping standards.
- Be available for overtime or emergency call-outs when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum: Grade 12 / Matric
- Preferred: Previous experience in a manufacturing or water treatment environment
- Strong focus and consistency in repetitive tasks
- Ability to respond quickly to operational challenges
- Willingness to work shifts
