Minimum Educational Qualification:
- Basic numeracy and literacy.
Experience:
- Relevant experience working in a hospital environment is required.
Competencies (Knowledge/Skills):
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Understanding of patient transport and hospital protocols.
Key Performance Areas:
- Provide an effective porter service by safely transporting patients via trolleys and wheelchairs throughout the hospital.
- Assist with the respectful removal of deceased patients from wards.
- Collect and deliver blood specimens, blood hampers, and patient folders.
- Maintain hospital equipment by ensuring proper care, cleanliness, and hygiene.
- Contribute to a clean and safe work environment.
- Foster positive working relationships with staff and promote a professional atmosphere.
- Comply with hospital dress code and code of conduct.
