🚗 Position: School Transport Driver

📌 Key Responsibilities

✅ Safely transport children along designated routes, ensuring punctual pick-ups and drop-offs.
✅ Ensure all passengers are securely strapped in for safety.
✅ Meet children at designated stops and hand them over to parents or authorized guardians.
✅ Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks (oil, battery, brakes, tires, etc.).
✅ Report any mechanical issues promptly for repairs.
✅ Maintain a clean and hygienic vehicle at all times.
✅ Keep accurate records of mileage and passenger counts.
✅ Follow South African learner transportation regulations and participate in training programs.
✅ Operate a two-way radio for efficient communication.
✅ Perform additional duties as required.

🎓 Minimum Job Requirements

✔ Matric certificate (a qualification in logistics, mechanics, or tourism is an advantage).
✔ Valid Code 10 driver’s license + up-to-date Passenger Driver Permit (PDP).
✔ Fluent in English and a local language.
✔ Ability to read and write for reporting duties.
✔ 2–3 years of experience in school transport or a related field.
✔ Basic first aid knowledge.
✔ Strong understanding of safe driving practices and South African Road Safety Regulations.
✔ Familiarity with Centurion routes (Mnandi, Monavoni) is a plus.
✔ Mechanical skills are an added advantage.
✔ Excellent time management, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
✔ Strong interpersonal skills to maintain professional relationships.
