We’re currently looking for a responsible, friendly, and patient School Transport Driver to join our team in making a daily difference in children’s lives.
Position: School Transport Driver (Full-Time)
Salary: R4 500,00 – R6 000,00 per month
Start Date: 2025/05/05
Application Deadline: 2025/05/05
Work Mode: In-person
What You’ll Do:
- Safely operate school transport vehicles along set routes, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off.
- Securely fasten all children and ensure safe boarding and exiting.
- Hand over children only to authorized individuals at drop-off.
- Perform daily vehicle checks (oil, water, brakes, tires, etc.) and report any issues.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Maintain accurate logs of mileage and passenger data.
- Follow all South African learner transport laws and regulations.
- Participate in regular training and compliance updates.
- Operate a two-way radio as needed.
- Take on any additional tasks assigned by management.
Who You Are:
- Education: Matric (minimum requirement); a background in logistics, mechanics, or tourism is an advantage.
- License: Valid Code 10 license with a current Passenger Driver Permit (PDP).
- Experience: 2–3 years in school transport or a related driving role.
- Language: Proficient in English and at least one local language.
- Skills & Traits:
- Basic first aid knowledge.
- Good understanding of road safety laws and best practices.
- Familiarity with Centurion routes (especially Mnandi and Monavoni) is a plus.
- Mechanical skills are a bonus.
- Reliable, punctual, and calm under pressure.
- Able to follow instructions and work independently.
- Physically fit to manage daily responsibilities.
- Friendly and professional with children and parents alike.
