🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment plants and related systems
• Conduct daily inspections of pumps, valves, chemical dosing systems, and mechanical/electrical equipment
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on plant machinery
• Monitor effluent quality and conduct required testing according to standards
• Record operational data and compile reports
• Respond promptly to plant faults, breakdowns, and emergency situations
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations

🎓 Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Relevant certificate in Wastewater Treatment / Sewerage Plant Operations
  • Class I or Class II Waste Process Controller Certificate
• 2–3 years’ experience in wastewater or sewerage plant operations (or related field)
• Valid Code B driver’s licence
• Willingness to work shifts and standby duties
