Position Overview

The Shop Assistant / Cashier is responsible for delivering service excellence through efficient point-of-sale operations, merchandising, and customer engagement to ensure a positive in-store experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately execute all point-of-sale transactions, including scanning merchandise and processing payments
  • Ensure safe and responsible handling of cash at all times
  • Promote and enroll customers in the Clicks ClubCard programme to achieve participation targets
  • Inform customers about promotions to drive sales and enhance value perception
  • Provide outstanding customer service by acting as a brand ambassador
  • Maintain merchandising standards and ensure general housekeeping duties are completed
  • Stay informed about products, promotions, and store events to assist customers effectively
  • Support the company’s values and vision of being the preferred health and beauty retailer

Knowledge Requirements
