Job Purpose

This position supports the safe and effective construction of concrete structures in a mining or construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in risk assessments and comply with all safety requirements
• Attend and complete pre-shift toolbox talks
• Erect and inspect scaffolding
• Read and interpret concrete drawings
• Perform work at heights (must be certified)
• Operate power tools (e.g., circular saws, jig saws, grinders) safely
• Report hazards and incidents to the supervisor
• Wear appropriate PPE at all times
• Complete ad-hoc duties as trained
• Follow emergency procedures as trained

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Shutter Hand Grade I or II

Experience

• 4–5 years in concrete structure work
• Experience with steel fixing and bending schedules is an advantage
