About the Role
The Shuttle Driver is responsible for operating Seriti Green’s daily shuttle service between the Head Office in Illovo, Sandton, and the office in Bethal, Mpumalanga. The role also includes transporting employees, clients, and stakeholders to airports and various locations, overseeing fleet maintenance, and ensuring all vehicles are safe, clean, roadworthy, and compliant with relevant regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Transport & Shuttle Operations
- Provide daily shuttle services between Illovo and the Mpumalanga office (Monday–Friday).
- Standard schedule: depart Illovo at 6am, return by 5pm; depart Bethal at 3pm.
- Collect and drop off staff, clients, and stakeholders at airports or other designated points.
- Travel to alternative sites and company locations when required.
Fleet Management
- Maintain all company vehicles in excellent working condition.
- Arrange and monitor regular vehicle servicing, and report mechanical issues promptly.
- Ensure vehicle licenses, registrations, and roadworthy documents are up to date.
- Keep vehicles clean, fueled, and ready for use.
- Accurately record mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance activities.
Compliance & Safety
- Comply with all road regulations and company driving policies.
- Ensure safe transportation of passengers and goods at all times.
- Follow Seriti Green’s safety and journey management procedures, including completing all required logs.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or delays immediately.
Professional Conduct
- Provide courteous and professional service to all passengers.
- Communicate clearly on schedules, delays, or route changes.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when transporting stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 10 minimum (Matric/Grade 12 preferred).
- Valid South African driver’s licence (Code 8 or above).
- At least 5 years’ experience as a professional driver in a corporate or logistics setting.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Clean criminal record.
- Experience with long-distance or shuttle driving is beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of Gauteng and Mpumalanga routes.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and road safety.
- Familiarity with fleet logbooks and journey management.
