About the Role
Pepkor Lifestyle is seeking a Stock Clerk for a fixed-term position within our dynamic retail environment, where each day brings new challenges. The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge of stock management processes, demonstrate high accuracy, and uphold honesty and integrity at all times.
Role Purpose
To efficiently receive and dispatch merchandise, ensure documentation accuracy, and maintain secure and organised stockroom operations to support an accurate stock file.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and dispatch stock physically and accurately
- Maintain high housekeeping and security standards in the stockroom
- Provide customer-focused service when dealing with customers
- Manage time effectively and contribute positively to teamwork
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- 1–2 years’ experience as a Stock Clerk
Competencies
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Proficient in MS Office
- Merchandising knowledge
- Understanding of receiving and dispatch procedures
- Familiarity with company policies and procedures
