Position Overview
SANParks has a Storeman vacancy available at the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park within the Technical Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting procurement, stock control, and store operations, while ensuring compliance with established procedures and safety standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Standard 10) / NQF Level 4, or N3 Certificate in Inventory Management, Warehousing Management, or Stock Control
- At least 1 year’s experience in supply chain, inventory, stock control, or warehouse management
- 3 years’ experience will be an added advantage
- Computer literacy with practical knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Valid Code EB driver’s licence (Code EC will be advantageous)
- Sound understanding of Supply Chain Management (SCM) processes (advantageous)
- First Aid and Occupational Health & Safety experience (advantageous)
Key Responsibilities
- Procuring goods and materials in line with prescribed SOPs
- Receiving, checking, and recording goods and stock
- Managing and controlling stock, materials, and spare parts
- Distributing stock to various camps
- Ensuring neat packing and storage of all received items
- Assisting with stock takes and asset control
- Maintaining accurate filing, tracking, and monitoring of procurement records
- Controlling tool stores, including issuing and receiving of tools
- Cleaning designated work areas according to set procedures
- Performing ad hoc duties as assigned by the Supervisor
- Complying with Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures
Remuneration & Benefits
- Basic salary aligned to Paterson Grade B1
