FlySafair is seeking a dedicated Toolstore Assistant to help power our technical operations from behind the scenes. If you’re organized, reliable, and thrive under pressure, this is your chance to keep our aviation tools in top shape and our technicians flying high.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update all systems within the tool store.
- Resolve tool-related queries swiftly and professionally.
- Clearly label all shelves and items for easy identification.
- Assist technicians with in-store and outstation tool requests.
- Plan and manage tool replacements and returns.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock checks.
- Follow up on tools sent for calibration or repair.
- Ensure tools are calibrated on time for uninterrupted operations.
- Keep consumables stocked and available.
- Perform regular inspections on GSE (Ground Support Equipment) and related tools.
- Report and follow up on unserviceable items.
- Maintain top-notch housekeeping and secure access in the tool store.
- Generate reports in line with operational guidelines.
📋 Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
- 1–2 years warehousing experience (Essential)
- Experience with dangerous goods and aircraft spares packing (Advantageous)
- Knowledge of ERP systems (Advantageous)
- Physically fit and able to handle tool store demands
- Willing to work overtime and 24-hour shifts as required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
