🚛 Position Overview

Midvaal Local Municipality is inviting applications for a Truck Driver (Water Section) to support efficient service delivery through safe and reliable transportation of water and materials.


✅ Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 10 (Grade 12 will be an added advantage)
  • Valid Driver’s License: Code EC (14)
  • Valid Public Driver’s Permit (PDP)
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant driving experience within a Local Government Authority
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Adaptability, problem-solving ability, attention to detail
  • Hard-working and self-disciplined

🛠️ Key Duties

  • Drive trucks and load/off-load water and materials
  • Plan and execute daily tasks per instructions/work orders
  • Perform basic administrative duties
  • Ensure effective use and maintenance of vehicles/equipment
  • Assist with other duties when required
  • Carry out ad hoc tasks as requested by management

💰 Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: R210,060.00 – R236,256.00 per annum
  • Total Package (incl. benefits): R356,532.96 per annum
  • Level: 10 (Grade 04 – Local Authority)
