Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Senior Certificate.
  • Experience: 0–6 months (no prior experience required).
  • Knowledge of:
    • Unemployment Insurance Act and Regulations
    • Unemployment Insurance Contributions Act
    • Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
    • Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA)
    • Treasury Regulations and Batho Pele Principles
    • Department of Employment and Labour policies and UIF procedures
    • UIF vision, mission, and values
    • Customer service principles
  • Skills:
    Interviewing, communication (verbal and written), computer literacy, listening, interpretation (UI and Contributions Acts), conflict management, time management, analytical thinking, interpersonal skills, telephone etiquette, and customer relations.

Duties

  • Provide client screening services.
  • Process applications for Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) benefits.
  • Register payment continuation forms.
  • Perform general administrative and support duties.
