Job Overview
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa is offering an exciting Visual Merchandiser Learnership for unemployed youth who are eager to gain hands-on experience in sales, merchandising, and customer engagement.
This structured, work-based learning programme equips learners with commercial knowledge and practical skills to support customer servicing, grow product volume, and maintain merchandising excellence across direct and indirect customers within a designated area.
The role reports to the Account Developer.
Key Interactions
The learner will work closely with:
- Sales Team Members – Collaborating on daily activities and sharing operational knowledge
- Sales Account Developer – Receiving guidance, coaching, and performance feedback
- Consumers – Understanding customer preferences and buying behaviour to support sales strategies
Key Duties & Responsibilities
In-Store Execution & Merchandising
- Execute daily call schedules across assigned bronze and tin outlets
- Implement visual merchandising standards and brand-aligned in-store displays
- Ensure correct stock rotation, product availability, and visibility
- Maintain product quality in line with RED and execution scorecard standards
- Complete the iRED survey accurately
- Support and educate customers on ordering via the MyCCBA platform
- Assist with promotional activities to improve brand presence
- Provide relief support when required by the line manager
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 with Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy (minimum 40% pass)
- Grade 12 with English and a second language (minimum 40% pass)
- South African citizen
- Aged 18–35 years
- Must be unemployed at the time of appointment
- Must be an Employment Equity candidate
- Available to work six (6) days per week
- No criminal or adverse credit record
- Must consent to criminal, ID, and qualification checks
- Not currently registered for any learnership or full-time studies
- Must not have completed the same learnership previously
Advantageous:
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Post-matric qualification in Sales & Marketing
Learnership Details
- National qualification requiring a minimum of 120 credits
- Duration: 12 months
