The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that warranty claims are processed efficiently, accurately, and in line with manufacturer and company policies. This position requires strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
As a Warranty Clerk, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Accurately processing and submitting warranty claims in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and internal procedures
- Ensuring all warranty documentation is complete, correct, and submitted within required timeframes
- Maintaining up-to-date warranty records, files, and reports
- Liaising with internal departments, manufacturers, suppliers, and service advisors regarding warranty queries
- Communicating professionally with customers regarding warranty-related matters and claim statuses
- Following up on outstanding claims to ensure prompt resolution and payment
- Assisting in investigating rejected or disputed warranty claims and taking corrective action where required
- Supporting the warranty department with general administrative duties
- Ensuring compliance with Hyundai and Motus warranty policies and audit requirements
- Contributing to process improvements to enhance efficiency and turnaround times
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Matric Certificate (Grade 12) – essential
- Proven experience in a similar warranty or administrative role within the automotive industry
- Sound knowledge of automotive warranty policies, procedures, and claim processing
- Strong administrative, filing, and record-keeping skills
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Customer-focused mindset with professional interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience working in a dealership environment will be advantageous
