Job Overview
Warrior Edge Projects is seeking reliable and safety-conscious Waste Handlers to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe collection, transportation, and disposal of waste materials, ensuring full compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Waste Management: Safely collect, handle, package, transport, and dispose of different types of waste, including hazardous materials, in accordance with municipal and environmental regulations.
- Inspection & Sorting: Identify and sort waste to ensure appropriate disposal methods are followed and environmental impact is minimized.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of all waste handled, including quantities, types, and disposal methods.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and use the required personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling waste.
- Collaboration: Work with environmental and regulatory authorities during audits or inspections to ensure compliance with environmental laws.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification required. Additional studies in Environmental Science or a related field will be an advantage.
- Certification: Certification in hazardous materials handling or confined space entry will be beneficial.
- Experience: Prior experience in waste management, particularly handling hazardous materials, is preferred.
- Driver’s Licence: A valid driver’s licence is an added advantage.
Salary: R15 000,00 – R23 244,12 per month
