About the Role:
Sibanye-Stillwater is looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Winding Engine Driver (WED) to join the team at our Platinum Operation in Rustenburg. This role is critical to shaft operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of personnel, ore, and materials underground.

Minimum Qualifications:
Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4)

National Certificate Level 4 in GET Services

Valid Winding Engine Driver Certificate issued by the DMR

Valid Onsetter’s Certificate

Minimum 1–2 years’ experience operating both AC and DC winders or proof of competency if newly qualified

Medical fitness to work underground

Clear security screening

Valid driver’s license (if applicable)

• Act promptly in case of operational problems or emergencies
• Participate in audits, risk assessments, and safety initiatives
• Report incidents and complete documentation accurately
• Assist with coaching and on-the-job training as needed
