Job Purpose

The Goods & Services Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and implementing all supply chain processes and procedures within the company, ensuring that the procurement of goods and services via RFQs is compliant with legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • JCPZ Requisition Process (Non-tender):
    • Coordinate, monitor, analyze, and review RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs as per SCM policy and procedures.
    • Conduct market research on frequently consumed items and prepare price lists.
    • Consolidate identified needs and schedule RFQ adverts on a quarterly basis.
    • Assist end-users in identifying needs for goods and services.
    • Coordinate and monitor website adverts; manage the closing and opening of registers.
    • Oversee daily SCM activities and logistical functions.
    • Coordinate weekly panel adverts and specification approvals.
    • Liaise with key stakeholders and consolidate annual needs within the value chain.
    • Monitor work progress and provide reports to end-users.
    • Advise departments on best practices regarding pricing.
    • Review and approve all RFQ procurement transactions.
    • Prepare and submit supplier recommendations and correspondence.
    • Submit National Treasury monthly reports for approvals exceeding R100k.
    • Sign departmental SLAs with end-users to effectively achieve set targets.
  • JCPZ Internal Controls:
    • Manage the budget and expenditure within the department.
    • Ensure adherence to internal controls, processes, procedures, and quality standards by staff.
    • Continuously improve departmental functions, including policies, processes, and quality standards.
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures.
  • Optimize Individual and Team Performance:
    • Participate in and manage personal performance levels.
    • Mentor and support the learning and development of team members.
    • Contribute to team effectiveness and cohesion.
  • Manage Stakeholder Expectations:
    • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Communicate relevant information, status updates, and reports to stakeholders.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Education:
    • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or an equivalent NQF level 7 qualification.
  • Experience:
    • 3–5 years of experience in the procurement environment.
