Triton Academy is a TETA-accredited training provider offering specialised courses in Freight Handling and Professional Driving for both employees and unemployed learners. Our training equips participants with industry-specific skills and knowledge to succeed in the logistics and transport sector. Courses are conducted in Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town, with the flexibility to deliver training at client locations when possible.

We are currently seeking motivated and committed unemployed South African youth to join our 12-month National Certificate: Freight Handling Learnership, which combines structured classroom learning with practical workplace experience in the logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities

Training Activities:

• Load and off-load goods from vehicles.
• Prepare vehicles for trips.
• Handle freight documentation (receiving, dispatching, processing).
• Perform warehouse and transport-related duties.
• Deliver and collect goods and stock.
• Maintain clean and organised work areas.
• Pick and pack stock accurately.
• Receive incoming stock and verify against documentation.
• Correctly stack and secure goods for safe transport.

Learning & Development:

• Participate in structured theoretical training aligned to unit standards.
• Gain hands-on workplace experience under mentorship.
• Prepare for final external verification assessments.

Requirements

• South African citizen aged 23–35 years.
• Matric (Grade 12), TVET N3, or NQF Level 3 qualification.
• Minimum 40% pass in English and Mathematics/Mathematical Literacy.
• Unemployed and not currently studying.
• Reside in specified areas within Port Elizabeth.
• Medically fit.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
• Numerically literate.
• Willing to work shifts and weekends.
• Clear criminal record.
• Own reliable transport.
• Advantageous: Computer literacy and previous logistics/warehouse experience.
