About the Role
The Edge in Bryanston is seeking a reliable and professional Catering Driver and Assistant to join our team. This position requires someone with previous catering or hospitality experience to assist with deliveries, setup, and general catering operations.
Only candidates with proven catering or hospitality experience will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport catering items, equipment, and supplies to and from venues.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of catering events.
- Handle loading and offloading of the vehicle.
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain a clean driving record and uphold punctuality and reliability at all times.
- Work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays when needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the catering or hospitality industry.
- Valid Code 8 driver’s licence (held for at least 5 years) with no endorsements.
- Strong knowledge of Johannesburg roads and routes.
- Physically fit for manual tasks.
- Well-presented, fluent in English, and customer-focused.
- Excellent time management and ability to work independently.
- Must reside in or near Bryanston / JHB North.
- Of sober habits, non-smoker, reliable, and trustworthy.
- Clear criminal and driving record.
- Contactable references from previous driving or catering positions.
