Job Summary
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a reliable and professional Store Driver for their Vaal Mall branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to customers efficiently and safely while maintaining The Local Choice Corporate Stores’ quality and service standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Valid driver’s license
Key Responsibilities
- Safely deliver products to customers in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
- Prioritize fridge line deliveries using cooler boxes and cold packs.
- Ensure the correct items are delivered to the correct customers within the specified timeframe.
- Follow the shortest and most efficient routes.
- Return to the store immediately after each delivery.
- Repack the vehicle after deliveries to prevent damage to stock.
- Maintain accountability for all goods during transit.
- Handle fragile and hazardous items with care.
- Ensure all deliveries, collections, and returns are accurately recorded and signed off.
- Submit all cash and receipts to the cashier before the end of the business day.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, invoices, and vehicle records.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean, locked, and in safe working condition.
- Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or incidents to management immediately.
- Adhere strictly to road traffic regulations and company vehicle policies.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through professional and courteous service.
- Report customer feedback and complaints promptly.
- Comply with all company policies, health and safety standards, and uniform requirements.

Special Conditions of Employment
- Must have a valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
- South African citizen or valid work permit.
- Clear criminal and credit record.
- Physically fit with good eyesight.
- Willing to rotate within departments and perform other duties as required.
