REQUIREMENTS:
A Grade 12 Certificate (NQF Level 4) or equivalent qualification. No prior experience required. Training in asset management, codification, or procurement will be an advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
Proficiency in MS Office applications. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Analytical and innovative thinking, problem-solving abilities, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, high reliability, and the ability to handle information with tact and discretion.
DUTIES:
Successful candidates will provide provisioning administration support to meet the operational and logistical needs of their assigned units. Responsibilities include determining supply requirements, meeting unit-specific demands, and maintaining documentation control for goods, equipment, materials, and services. Core tasks involve receiving, distributing, preserving, and repacking stock for safe storage; issuing and finalising vouchers; preparing and printing receipt vouchers; managing routine enquiries; and registering stock demands in compliance with CALMIS MMS procedures.
Further duties include controlling stock in warehouses to prevent losses, maintaining accurate records and registers, monitoring stock levels, and initiating replenishment when necessary. Candidates will also ensure storerooms are organised, update relevant directives and regulations, handle routine correspondence, perform basic calculations, compile statistics, and draft administrative documents such as letters and memoranda.
Additionally, they will support the smooth functioning of internal services, accounting, transport, and depot administration by adhering to prescribed procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, and contributing to effective logistical and administrative operations.
